I was also surprised by how much I enjoyed
Inferno when I read it this month. Very well done and the most suspenseful book I've read in a long time.
Finishing out the year with
Life After Life by Kate Atkinson. Although I'm not far enough into it to issue any recommendations, the writing quality is excellent.
