I personally find that, while my Kobo Glo is an excellent reader [not counting the flakey on/off firmware updates], that - in my opinion - the Kindle Paperwhite 2 has better contrast than my Kobo Glo, and that the Kindle makes for a more enjoyable reading experience.
Opinions are interesting things to contemplate and pour over.

So right about opinions! And also each reader is a little different. It's possible that my PW2 is not quite as good as other PW2s in the contrast (and less good than yours) and my Glo is better than others (and perhaps better than yours). Too bad pictures over the internet can't give us true comparisons. I'm looking at jbing my PW2, going back before the update, and using both it and the Glo.
