So do you set reading goals for each year? What will be the first book you plan to read in 2014 and why?
Hope you feel better soon.

I have been doing the AAR reading challenges for the past few years (since 2009). They are flexible enough I just pick books already in my TBR pile. I usually read somewhere around 200 books per year, but don't have set goals. I read 283 in 2012, but won't reach that quite that high this year.

My first book in 2014 will be Rumor Has It by Jill Shalvis. Since I haven't read it yet, figured I'd wait so I can count it toward the 2014 Reading Challenge. I plan to use it for The School Day Challenge.

I've been reading the JD Robb's since the series began and have reread the books a lot. I used to reread the whole series every time a new book released, but had to give that practice up once the series hit 15 books or so I always tell people to read the first 3 and if they aren't hooked then the series probably isn't for them. But I've known several people who didn't care for the first book who kept reading and still enjoy the series so that's why I say first three.

I plan to tackle the Lucky Harbor series as well. I enjoyed the first book which I read back when it was first released. And I have purchased all the others, but as the series grew I kept putting off reading book two for whatever reason. I also want to read Carla Neggers' Swift River Valley books and her Black Falls series. Plus some others I've had in my TBR for years.
