What's crazy is that the "deal" book does change (or, at least did for a while). They apparently no longer have any programmers and can't stop it, so it keeps changing on some schedule.
I don't expect them to do anything about the gift cards being eaten up by other people using the gift card loophole (since that would take a programmer).
If you buy there, definitely back up your purchases.
