No trial version available, but in the past as long as you purchased it through Google Play Chaley has been very flexible with refunds well past the 15 minute mark. The Amazon store does not provide the developer the same flexibility when it comes to refunds.
Basically if you can't get it working or it doesn't suit you he would rather refund your money than have an unsatisfied customer.
