I have both an e-ink Kindle and a Nexus tablet (with the Kindle app). For me, the respective advantages are:

For the Kindle:

1. Lighter and more comfortable to hold.

2. Much better battery life.

3. Easier navigation (for example, the Back button does what you expect).

For the Nexus:

1. Much better for pictures, charts, photos, etc (for that reason, I generally read magazines and reference books on the Nexus).

2. Faster page turns.

In short, it's all pretty subjective. Everyone must make his or her own decision.
