Also, perhaps the most important reason for reading Honor Harrington: David Weber actually knows how a knight is addressed.

Too many American authors use the form "Sir Lastname," which is is utterly wrong and idiotic. "Sir" is an honorific applied to the first name, not a title applied to the surname.

Weber gets it right.
