I know it's late for this thread, but I wanted to chime in. I've been looking for a better alternative for my Omnifi DMS1 and found TwonkyVision about 8 months ago and have been using it ever since. The DMS doesn't support images or video, just music and TwonkyVision has been great. Much better than the software it came with.

I just tried the J. River software, and even after updating it the DMS wouldn't play any music coming from it. I tried tweaking some of the advanced settings, but it wouldn't play.

I also tried TVersity. This did play the music, but it's not as user friendly in my opinion as the TwonkyVision. So... it looks like I've found my best bet for now. Especially since I have less than 10K files.

I've tried to look for updates to the free TwonkyVision music server, but now it seems that they are only offering a trial on the software and it only plays about 10 seconds of a song before stopping.

Orb is not for me... I just want my DMS to work. Hope this is helpful to someone.
