I have a Macbook and a Windows PC, I have Kindle for Mac on my Macbook (for my Amazon.com U.S. account) and Kindle for PC on my Windows PC (for the Amazon.co.uk account). I buy some ebooks and get occasional geo-restricted freebies from my Amazon.co.uk account, but I can buy from both the Amazon.com U.S. account and the Amazon.co.uk account from my Macbook. Once in a while I download the Amazon UK ebooks into Kindle for PC on my Windows PC and import into Calibre (with the "tools") on the Windows PC and then transfer to a USB thumb drive and import into Calibre on my Macbook (where everything is). It only takes a couple of minutes to do.

If you have one computer, you could set up a Virtualbox Windows installation and have it all set up there. When you feel like downloading the Amazon.co.uk purchases it's easy to do so.
