Ah, sorry - missed that.

Does the flashing process work for you? Maybe try using the PRSCustomizer to setup the sdcard, check that setup works then tweak the file it's generated.

sdcard\files.505.1.1.00.18040\opt\sony\ebook\appli cation\resources\applicationStart.xml to be exact...

You're sure your setting's not being reset by a setting 'later' in the file?
