Just be careful about coin expiration. I think the freebies we've gotten for buying apps last ~1 year from date of purchase, but IIRC, the free 500 coins for Amazon Kindle Fire owners expire on 12/31. I know of no way to check when your coins expire, you'd probably have to contact support and hopefully they can tell you.

You should be able to use the credit on the packages. Puzzle Retreat is quite good, I enjoy it a lot. I like it better than Quell myself.
The
PathPix games are also quite fun, there's a free PathPix Lite that has nine puzzles in it you can try. I picked up the first game and the Christmas themed one the other day and my mother's just loving them to death. I think she likes them more than I do actually.
