Can someone explain to me the basics of how audible works? You pay a monthly subscription fee even if you never buy a single book? And then if you do buy a book you can't listen to it wherever, you have to listen to it on your computer? You don't actually own the book?

For example, I couldn't download the book, put it on my mp3 player and listen to it in my car on my commute or while traveling?
