I think this was the proverbial perfect storm. Wrong time of year with people traveling and buying gifts. And it's probably impossible to get the staff they need into their call centers and trained up to be able to appropriately help all those callers. Just horrible timing.

But their response sounds like it was 100% written up by lawyers. Technically correct, but not really what anxious people need to hear right now.
