Yeah, that's a deal-breaker. I'd pay $10 a month for a subscription service with a decent catalog (not even great), as long as I could put the books on my e-reader. I tend to treat discretionary spending very simply: if the sum of my vices comes to less than the pack-a-day smoking habit I used to have, it's fair game! Scribd isn't even a pack-a-month habit
