If I think about it I can buy a cheap paperback for a penny or 99 cents but shipping is usually $3.99 unless it's Prime Eligible then it's really is a better deal. Sometimes on eBay I can get one for about $3.99 with free shipping. So all that said....I don't want to pay more than $4-$5 for a backlist title but I have trouble paying $3.99-$4.99 and Prefer $2.99 as the average price.
Big YES to being spoiled by those Kobo coupons (so much so I can't work up much enthusiasm to keep playing the contests!). I love a good historical, but only have a couple authors who I'd "collect"... $2.99 and up I'd have to think about it. Mostly because I am (supposedly) on a budget and with 200+ PAID books sitting in Calibre right now I can't justify spending much more on a book that won't get read for some time...

But then I AM currently considering $5.99USD right now for a backlist that is $25 on the CDN site! (shaking my fist at greedy greedy Random House) so who knows really!
