For page turning, I believe the reader doesn't rely on pressure on the screen, but rather breaking the infra-red beams that are 'shot' from under the bezel just at the surface of the screen. If you are very careful, you can make the page turn by lowering your finger until it barely touches the screen. When your finger breaks the infra-red beam, the page turns.

So what you need is stylus that is not thin and pointy. You need something thicker to replace a human finger. Treadlightly's ebay stylus will work well. If your were in Canada, I would tell you to pick one up at Dollarama.
