I'd say that the spirit of the CD terms was that hardback owners could share them with their friends. I think the open internet distribution was maybe an unwanted side-effect. I think it's great that the main web distributors have respected the author's wishes, and honestly, I feel that boycotting Bujold for her mistaken attitude is cutting off your nose to spite your face. If I had to choose between Bujold and the entire rest of Baen, I'd choose Bujold.
I own them all up to Cryoburn on paper, some more than once. I downloaded the Cryoburn CD from Fifth Imperium when it was available. It's nice to have e-versions of the books.
