Have you had a chance to see the Australian Broadcast Company (ABC) productions? We've been getting them here in Canada for a while now, with the current second season running right now on The Knowledge Network. Essie Davis portrays Phryne, and she is absolutely perfect in the role.

I've also been considering a reread of Harry Potter, but I think I'll do it with the audio books. I have both the Stephen Fry and the Jim Dale versions, and both are excellent, but I think I'll go with the Stephen Fry versions.
I've not, before now, been aware of Kerry Greenwood's other work. A few months back I rented the season one DVD's of Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries and enjoyed them a lot. Will do the same when season 2 becomes available.
