I have two accounts.

One really old one that I don't use anymore. It says Membership Status Not Enrolled. I have no sale banner. The cost of books show at full value.

The second account is the one I use. This one month I am a AudibleListener® Platinum Monthly member with a cost of 22.95/month for two credits. I see the current sale banner of 25% off. I signed up for this for one month as a bridge to see if Audible has another gift membership sale like they did last year in December. They had annual gift gold memberships on sale for $120/yr for 12 credits, so $10/credit. I gifted myself a membership! LOL With that plan, I seemed to get every sale there was. If I can't get a good sale, when this month's membership is up, I will change to the AudibleListener® Platinum Annual at $229.50/yr for 24 credits at $9.56/credit. I rarely buy just one book with one credit. I wait for sales and get at least 3 books for two credits, if not better.

Now for more information than you wanted to know. I use libraries first. However, I can't always find the books that I or my husband want, so they go on my wish list and wait for a sale. There is one exception to the library first rule. If there is an author that one or both of us really like and read a lot of, I will occasionally buy one of their books when on sale, even if available at a library. I do believe that a worker is due his money. If all everyone ever did was read books for free from a library, I'm guessing we would have a lot less authors. There was a long period in our life, when buying any book was just not possible, all books came only from the library. Now we are in a better financial condition, so I feel that I should buy some and also donate to libraries.
