The bean bag doesn't look very comfortable for reading (and I don't want one with nails!); a rocking chair sounds nice, but I don't think it would rock on carpet. A lazy-boy recliner sounds like a possibility, but aren't they always leather? I don't like leather furniture. As for the cats, they've purloined the lounge chair I'd intended to use; it's now covered in cat hair and some cat cushions! The 'intention' is to keep the cats out of the study once all the decorating's finished.

Graham, I noticed that the OP of the other thread had the problem of being tall whereas I'm just over five feet.

Please keep the ideas coming. Something comfortable but which won't turn into a bed.
