You have to be more specific. Generalized resolutions only last about 4 days. You might get 4 or more months out of a more specific one.
When I joined this list, limiting myself to the wishlist actually was very helpful and severely limited my additional purchases until just before Thanksgiving. My 2014 resolution is to limit new purchases to what is already on my wish list, the Baen Book Bundle plus one book, per month until just before Thanksgiving. Free books will go into a separate Calibre library and get them out of my Amazon/B&N Clouds. I honestly don't think I read more than 6 of those freebees, but training myself to stop getting them hasn't worked yet.
While I may only read 2-3 books out of the Baen Book Bundle every month, my sisters read them all, so they certainly get used.
