First install a PDF printer driver - I use one from Bullzip, there are others but they tend to nag. Use Google to find - this will allow you to 'print' a PDF file from any application
In excel 2007
- click the top left corner cell - the one above the row number 1, ie the one with the triangle.
- in Data click the Sort button (not the A-Z↑↓), now select the column(s) to sort on
- print to your newly installed PDF printer (it will appear as a printer)
