I use mine daily. The sound is amazing on it. It's a great reader too. I just love the bezel on it. Sometimes smaller is not better and this is exactly the case. It does not look or feel like last's years Kindle Fire. It's smaller and lighter but it's just right for small hands to hold.

I would say if you are looking for a entry level tablet that can be a good reading device, the 2013 HD is the way to go. Unless you are into skype and gaming you don't need the upgrades that the HDX has.
