On Windows when you when you right click on the Dropbox icon in the system tray it shows a menu with the latest file changes.
If I exclude it the folder wont sync it. It's all fix now by unlinking then relinking my computer from Dropbox's account seems to have it acting shiny again.
It did have to reindex then upload the missing files so it took about two hours.
