Yes it is possible the file is in some way corrupted, Explorer don't see the drive anymore after this "big" file is transferred.

To note that this is an emergency PC and maybe this Windows XP is in some way "broken"... in the next week(s) I hope to have a new PC with Windows 8 and I'll make more tests.

Regarding the Comics on E-book it is IMHO an unexplored feature yes the B&W is a problem, but the major problem is that the "clouds" are always too little to read. If the strips could be reorganized in a way that, for example, any vignette use a full screen they would be readable!
IMHO the problem is that there no commercials option using the "true" e-book format that is EPUB not an archive...

As usual you can modify the various patches but read some of the Patcher forum first. Metazoa has not issued an "official" patch so what you are seeing is what various people have found that works.
Thanks I'll wait to have a "working" PC before try to apply the patch (this would download the file, unmount the drive and brick the device probably*), there is a way to make a backup of the firmware to recover the default settings?

In your opinion there is a risk to brick the device in case of problems or only the books would be shown wrong (well worst that the default it is impossible )?

* The Kobo software not worked to initialize the device it simply blocked itself occupying 100% of CPU! Luckily the Kobo had the possibility to initialize itself using Wi-Fi. Yeah this PC has some problems in the USB stack probably
