My point was:

1) Today I locked my Kindle against the future firmware updates with richy1989’s method and that saved me from the today’s automatic update.

2) The future updates of the firmware released by Amazon (maybe even 5.4.2) may disable that method of locking the device against the updates in the case of the other people’s devices if they don’t use that method to lock their devices earlier.

So:

1) I reported that richy1989’s method works with PW2 (5.4.0).

2) I advised the other people to use this method before it’ll be too late.

Duh...
