If you like old-time thriller writers from the 30s and 40s, then I would suggest Edgar Wallace (famous for his work with the 1933 "King Kong" film - it was his idea. He also co-wrote the book.)
Harry, a moderator here, has assembled about something like 40 or 50 titles [please correct me, if I'm wrong] and they are available in our Library. Wallace wrote over 90 thrillers.
Remember, these are older, but lots of fun.
