Amazon's tech support is certainly NOT all in India. I've had Kindle support people in Ireland, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines, to name but four additional countries. They have service desks all around the world, and shift from one to another as the time of day changes. If (from the UK) I phone in the morning, I'll normally get a support person in Ireland.
