I keep thinking I should read the MaddAdam books (what's the first one, Oryx and Crake?), but somehow they don't sound appealing at all. Maybe in a few years...
I haven't read the overwhelming majority of the finalists in most categories - many because they haven't sounded interesting, many because I'd never heard of them before. YA fantasy was the only category where I'd at least heard of / been aware of all the finalists, even if half of them were not things I'd like to read.
A few finalists in various categories are still on my TBR lists, though, so I'll hopefully get to them at some point. Probably by the time Goodreads awards 2014 are out.
