The HDX 7 also uses Blue LEDs which shows a ugly blue light bleed around the edges. I'd avoid the headache literally. I went through 3 of them and I am so happy to get the HD even if it's less ppi I had no problems reading on my MIL's
While I love my Nexus 7 I have a ton of apps on Amazon app store that are Kindle Fire only.
I also miss not being able to play my music by genre and last I miss immersion reading.
