I assumed that there'd be some way to tell on the firmware update page, but I can't find it. Downloaded the firmware for 5.4.2 and placed it on my Kindle, but the update firmware is grayed out and the update itself disappears so I assume I must have a 1st Gen, but why isn't there a description somewhere? And also, what's the idea of releasing a second generation so quickly? Was the 1st Gen. flawed in some way? I mean, they're still selling the DX.
