I've posted it in issue #301.

So what happens exactly is that

I find the Nickel Sleepingscreen is on display with the light on.
I pull the power button. The light goes off and a popup states: Standby.
I pull power again. Koreader activates and light goes on.
Kobo Aura goes in non-responsive mode rather fast (10-20s). Even if I keep changing pages.
Pull power again go to standy and regain activity.
Kobo Aura goes in non-responsive mode rather fast (10-20s).
etc., etc..

Only thing to do for a working sleep function is kill the light before the Kobo Aura goes to sleep and reset Nickel sleep timer after power is back on.
