Dropbox is indeed a brilliant solution...
assuming you are using either 2 Windows computers, or 2 linux computers. This is not the case here. Syncing, whether with Dropbox or Copy or SugarSync or rsync or anything whatsoever, will still mess up when Windows tries to sync garbage to linux:
