I went from a K3 to a PW2 as well. I liked the keyboard and the buttons. Ideally, the PW2 would have the buttons but it doesn't.
When the first touch screen devices were released I was not a happy camper. I was worried about fingerprints and how easy it would be to use the device with one hand. I complained about the lack of the keyboard.
A year or so later, I bought an iPad and loved it. I was reading, kind of, on the iPad. I say kind of because I was easily diistracted by my email, the internet, and the games I have loaded. I learned that the fingerprints don't bother me and the screen can be cleaned when there are prints.
I realized that I never use the keyboard so that was not really an issue.
I wanted something that I could read in bed with the lights off and easily on a plane at night. I knew that the read on the iPad experiment had been a complete failure. I got a PW2 and have loved it. You can easily hold it in one hand and change the page with the tap of a thumb. I have yet to clean the screen of fingerprints. The light works great. And I still don't use the virtual keyboard.
I have not played with any of the features (pinching, xray, or all that stuff) because the basic features work fine for me. I wouldn't mind page turn buttons but have found taping is easy enough. I have read 7 books in the 2 months I have had it, which is a massive improvement.
Overall, I am thrilled I made the move.
