The Calibre viewer is really an epub viewer, and any other format is silently converted to epub format before being displayed. Therefore you should not rely on the Calibre viewer to accurately show how any other format would be shown on a device that handles it natively. For mobi format you should use either the Kindle app or the Kindle Previewer to get a better feel for how it will be handled
