@ixtab: You mentioned getting your new device sometime this week and wanting to create backups of the system partition. What I'm wondering now: Is the operating system identical even for devices without 3G? Because I have a Kindle Paperwhite WLAN only (Germany) and I'm not sure if it would be possible to write back that partition then.
