yesterday afternoon I found a similar problem. (cybook gen3)

taking out the reader from my bag at the airport to start reading: the screen covered with vertical and horizontal lines. only a part of the screen can be seen some text.
the reader is exactly 6 months old and hold in its cover and treated with care. I can't find any obvious reason why its failed.

I have contacted bookeen and now waiting their answer.
