I didn't buy much on those days last year so there must not have been anything really good going on.

In December:

Sourcebooks had a nice series of $0.99 sales in various stores before and after Christmas.

Harlequin does its however many days before Christmas sale but last year did not include the $5 coupon of the previous year but there was 1 day of 50% off (list price).
ARe had a sale, but I do not remember the details. And do not forget the "12 days of Christmas" freebies as well.
