It's quite strange about this particular holiday up here in the Great White North. In the US, it's a holiday season from now until after New Years Day. But our Thanksgiving was over a month ago, so there isn't the same sense of a continuous holiday season. In the US right now, you can go into any Starbucks and buy a "Pumpkin Spice Latte" or a slice of pumpkin bread. But ask for that up here, and you get told "that's seasonal". Meaning at Thanksgiving time, in early October. Maybe all the way up to Halloween. But certainly not after.
No holiday here, and I just lost a bearing on the motor for my pool's circulating pump. And getting at the pump to pull it and take to the local shop is going to be a royal PITA. Sigh.
Ah well, a big glass of fresh squeezed orange juice while I wait for my Peet's English Breakfast tea to steep.
