I've nevered owned e Kindle, either. Started off with Pocketbooks, then when the 5" died moved to Kobo. Initially I hated the change just because it was a change, but now I am very used to it. I am trying to resist the urge to get a lighted reader, but when I do most likely it will be another Kobo, as it is smaller and lighter than devices with the same screen size, and won't require a major conversion of my existing books.
Books are generally cheaper on Amazon than on Kobo, but Kobo has a zillion coupons and is de fact more relaxed about geographic restrictions, so I think I've saved a ton in book purchases already.
