Just want to emphasize this as I unintentionally paid full price for a book as I wasn't paying attention.
In the new checkout, you enter the code, apply it and the price is adjusted (or not if the code doesn't apply.) You don't get the pop-up blurb stating whether or not the code applied successfully as you get in the old check out.
