Yes, why not?
The only "reasons" for not doing that in my case are:
- I discovered epubee quite long ago, long before Alf as a matter of fact, and as said I didn't pay a single cent.
- It has worked like a charm in all the ebooks I've bought so far. I've haven't suffered any bugs, (or I haven't noticed any bugs), even if the utils are obsolete.
- I like to have both books (original DRMed one and unDRMed one) inside my Calibre library and that seems somehow impossible/difficult with the Calibre plugin as it automatically unDRMs every book you throw at Calibre.
- I'm just lazy to change
