That would be absolutely great, thanks so much.

Although one would need a working rescue pack partition to do that right? Meaning, boot from diags and have access to the shell...

I know that I created partition backups, and even backups of the kernel etc. -- but of course actually writing them back wouldn't work while the system itself is running on the partition you want to overwrite, or am I missing something?

EDIT: Yeah, just took a closer look at the document linked by ixtab -- one would need such a modified diags partition, hmm...
