Hello! Yes, I do have ADE on my computer, and it is authorized. And the original download was not .acsm file. When at "My Library" at the Kobo website, you see the blue button to the right to download. I do a right click, click on "save link as..." and then my computer only shows one option: Chrome HTML Document.

Even weirder...I went to an older pdf I had purchased from Kobo, and the same thing is going on there, too.... I'll try going to the Adobe sample download page next...


ETA a few minutes later... I went to the Adobe sample download page...and I get the usual acsm file option...and then it goes to my Sony desktop. Yeah, it's convoluted.

Oh - and in Sony desktop is tells me the file may be corrupted. (this from an Adobe sample download). Weird.
