Well, first of all I bought an ebook, didn't realize it would be an Adobe DRM PDF until after purchase; my own fault, of course. With an 80% coupon, too.
Now, when trying to open/save the book, the only only option given by my computer is to save as an HTML Chrome Document. This regardless of whether I'm using Google Chrome or Internet Explorer.

Odd. The file download should have been a .acsm file which you would need to open with Adobe Digital Editions which has been authorized to download the actual file. BTW, acsm stands for Adobe Content Server Management.
So, do you have ADE on your computer? Is it authorized? Was the original download a .acsm file? Can you locate that file on your computer and try opening it with ADE?
If nothing else, try going to the Adobe sample download page (
http://www.adobe.com/ca/products/dig...ons/eBook.html and try downloading one of those ebooks. You should be given a URLLink.acsm file and asked what to open it with with ADE as the default. I've attached a sample of what I see when I connect through Nightly.
