Kobo has released an update to the 3.0.0 firmware. Still says 3.0.0 on the archive and the download link hasn't changed. The software version as displayed under settings/software version changes to 3.0.1 (644485e229 21-Nov-2013) with the USB connection changing to eReader-3.0.1. I haven't seen much of a change though I wonder if this version will work on the Mini without the oversize icons -- any brave Mini owner willing to give it a try?

One other minor change -- the XOR used to hide the ReadingFooter changes to CC.

One possible change: when reading a Kobo kepub, the chapter loading seems to be faster and not as prone to hanging for several seconds. Caveat is that I don't read many .kepub.epub books so not totally certain that this is not just a figment of my imagination.
