Calibre is not bug free
but the
Exterminator is very aggressive.
(Many PI issues also get aggressive version response)
Thus posting a bug (complaint) without being current is a possible wastes of all our times.
Updates should be tried before posting (or an explanation on why an update can't be applied).
In this case, you found a long standing problem (I think Kovid found one once that had lurked for almost 2 years ) . They happen. What is (Calibre) amazing to me, is how fast and hard, they are stomped upon
