Here is the draft of what I plan to send in as feedback:

Hello:

I am concerned with the usability of my paperwhite 2013 after the

update to 5.4.2. This update to collections have made my

paperwhite very cumbersome to use.

1. Forcing the user to leave the wifi on while creating and/or

updating collections puts a strain on the device and the user.

Especially for users who are either not in an area with wifi

service or if the user has to pay for data usage. If this

requirement must be on the device, can it please at least be

changed to when the user is saving the collection, rather than on

each individual book. Though it would be preferrable if this

option is either turned off by default or give the user the

option to turn it off/on at their discretion.

2. Displaying books that are in the cloud in the collections

while in the device view is hard for users, especially those of

us who have large libraries and large collections. If the user

is in the device view, only those books that are on the device

should be shown.

3. In previous versions of the collections feature a user used

to be able to search specific terms and use that search result to

be able to add/remove books from collections. This feature has

been removed from the options, it would be most helpful if that

feature could be added back.

4. Forcing every device registered to an account to see and

control all collections is not very feasible for accounts with

multiple users, or users with multiple devices. Or accounts with

children, parents should not be forced to setup freetime in order

to block their children from seeing and/or changing collections.

Not many users want to see all their collections on all their

devices. For example, my Fire HD is not my main device and I

only keep a small select amount of books on it. I do not want

nor need to scroll through 100 collections just to find my 5-10

books. Please rethink this and add an option for users to either

choose which collections reside on particular devices, or add

this feature to the cloud and let all books/collections be

maintained there, not on the individual devices.

5. Most importantly, can an option be added that allows more

sort options?

Please, I would like to go back to using my paperwhite to read,

not spend my time scrolling through pages and pages of

collections and books to find something to read.
