I never really look at the price. Regular books are so horrendously expensive in Norway (somewhat understandably, since the market is so small) that whatever the price I will in any case never pay more than a fraction of what I'd have to fork over in a bookshop.

Before I converted to e-reading I used to buy all my books from Amazon, Waterstones or Foyle's and with shipping included I probably never paid less than $12 or so for any fiction paperback and usually rather more. Hence I'm perfectly happy to pay $10+ for my e-books. That's not to say I'm entirely price-insensitive, but relatively recently $5 books would have seemed an unattainable dream.

The downside is that I now buy more books than I have time to read, but I guess there are worse things to waste money on. After all, it must be preferable to gambling, cocaine or...ladies of the night.

Well, probably anyway. I wouldn't really know.
