As you said, a direct link to a specific book page gets me the "Not available in your country". Searches for both the author, the title, or the ISBN, result in the book never showing up at all, as if it doesn't exist.
I have never, ever experienced this issue of unavailable content until this week. Being located in Hong Kong, using my Hong Kong address and credit card, the opposite was always true, in that I seemed to have access to all content from all countries. Something has changed.

Oh, I don't doubt it. For example, for ordering devices they check your IP
and your account settings. For books it's
normally as I said, only using one or the other depending on if you're logged in or not. Out of curiousity, is this on the new page or the old one? I haven't experienced IP restrictions when logged in for books on both the old and new sites.
